News that caught my eye this week No. 37 and 38

New interesting targets

G’day all,

I’m trying not to fall into the habit of posting irregularly, yet I did not send anything out last weekend. On slow weeks and busy weekends I plan to make greater use of the platform’s “notes” format so look out for these.

A couple of interesting targets stood out this and last week. One from Hammer Metals as a strong discrete conductor associated with a magnetic high, located below a historical working with high copper in rock chip readings (3.1 % Cu). Link in honorable mentions.

The other comes from Legacy Minerals where the company is proceeding with testing a couple of targets on their Thompson tenement package. Short write up below.

New interesting targets

Legacy Minerals-LGM-Drilling Underway of Large Gold-Copper Targets at Thomson

I have highlighted LGM and in particular their Thompson project previously and I’m exited to see some of these targets tested. The company’s tenements occupy the southern portion of the Thompson Orogen which lies undercover for the most part and is much less explored than the adjacent Lachlan.

With cover comes the need for a different bag of targeting tools and the company runs through their rationale in the announcement in some detail. All the hallmarks of quality undercover exploration are there, focus on belt scale architecture, favorable structural position and the collection of various primary datasets.

The targeted mineralization is that of a Intrusion Related Gold System IRGS or in this case IRGCS with the inclusion of copper. Previous drilling has showed the presence of active hydrothermal systems manifesting both through sulphide, veining and alteration.

The Cut-B anomaly which is seeing follow up drilling in particular has seen the intersection of strong alteration.

I watch with interest.
